Diagnosis and care
reConnect offers a complete medical and paramedical approach to the assessment and treatment of hearing disorders.
The treatment of hearing disorders combines diagnosis expertise, targeted medical and surgical interventions and advanced recovery solutions to ensure a comprehensive management of hearing disorders, while including a preventive and educative dimension to optimize long-term hearing health.
Diagnosis stages
Patient care will begin with an ENT consultation, which depending on the diagnosis, will be followed by specialist examinations, such as tonal and vocal audiometry in silence and noise, tympanometry, auditory evoked potentials, acoustic otoemissions, and possibly MRI or CT scans.
In certain situations, treatment may benefit from the multidisciplinary environment of the IHU, with support from other specialties, particularly neurology and neurosurgery.
In some cases, surgical intervention will be proposed, especially if the ossicular chain or eardrum is affected by chronic otitis, cholesteatoma or otosclerosis.
Tinnitus is often complex and will require multidisciplinary treatment, sometimes involving medication, sound therapy or relaxation techniques.
In terms of rehabilitation, devices such as hearing aids, bone-anchored prostheses or cochlear implants may be recommended, with follow-up adjustments and post-operative monitoring.
In addition to pathology treatment, proposals for inclusion in cohorts and clinical studies will be put forward.
